About the Maextro brand

Maextro is a Chinese premium electric vehicle brand created by Changan Automobile Group as part of its advanced new energy portfolio. Officially introduced in 2024, Maextro serves as Changan's high performance luxury sub brand, positioned above Deepal and Avatr in terms of design sophistication, technology, and dynamic capability. The name "Maextro" reflects the concept of mastery and precision- a technological "maestro" for the intelligent electric era.

The brand's first production model, the Maextro S800, is a large luxury electric sedan built on Changan's next generation EPA2 platform. Designed to rival global premium EVs such as the NIO ET9 and Mercedes EQS, the S800 features dual motor all wheel drive, an 800 volt high voltage system, and ultra fast charging capability that restores up to 300 kilometers of range in 10 minutes. It is expected to offer a total driving range exceeding 700 kilometers (CLTC) and acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 3 seconds. The vehicle showcases a sleek fastback silhouette, active aerodynamics, and intelligent adaptive suspension tuned for both comfort and precision handling.

The S800's interior focuses on quiet luxury and human centered technology, integrating a panoramic digital display, AI assisted cockpit, and advanced driver monitoring systems. It runs on Changan's in house operating system and incorporates HarmonyOS connectivity through Huawei's ecosystem, enabling seamless interaction across devices and continuous over the air updates. The cabin uses sustainable premium materials and configurable ambient environments to enhance comfort and personalization.

Maextro's upcoming models will include a performance SUV and a grand touring coupe, all built on Changan's modular electric architectures and supported by CATL's latest battery technologies. Each vehicle will feature high energy density packs, intelligent thermal management, and next generation autonomous driving features developed through Changan's partnership network. The brand is expected to begin production of the S800 in 2025, with domestic deliveries targeted for early 2026 and eventual expansion into select export markets.

By introducing Maextro, Changan aims to position itself as a global force in intelligent electrification, combining precision engineering, AI enhanced control, and sustainable luxury. The S800 sets the tone for the brand's identity- merging performance, digital intelligence, and modern design in a fully electric flagship sedan.

Pure Electric Identity

Maextro is a pure play electric automaker, developing all vehicles and technologies exclusively for zero emission performance. With the S800 as its launch model, Maextro combines 800 volt architecture, advanced AI integration, and refined design to deliver a high performance, fully electric experience that redefines Changan's vision of premium mobility.
