About the Jeep brand

Jeep is an American automotive brand under Stellantis N.V., headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, and one of the most iconic names in off road and adventure vehicles. Established in 1941 from the original Willys MB military utility vehicle, Jeep has become synonymous with rugged capability and all terrain freedom. In the modern era, the brand is evolving toward electrification while maintaining its heritage of durability, versatility, and outdoor performance.

Jeep's electrification strategy is part of Stellantis' global "Dare Forward 2030" plan, which commits the brand to offering an all electric lineup in Europe by 2030 and in North America by 2035. The transformation began with the introduction of 4xe plug in hybrid models, including the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe, which have become some of the best selling PHEVs in the United States. These models combine electric torque with traditional off road capability, enabling near silent all electric driving in trails and urban environments alike.

Jeep's next generation of fully electric vehicles began rolling out with the Jeep Avenger in Europe, a compact SUV built on Stellantis' e CMP2 platform and named the 2023 European Car of the Year. The Avenger represents Jeep's first all electric production model, offering up to 400 kilometers of range and front wheel drive optimized for city use. For global markets, Jeep is developing additional BEVs including the Recon and Wagoneer S. The Recon is a midsize off road oriented EV inspired by the Wrangler, featuring open air design, Selec Terrain drive modes, and full trail rated capability. The Wagoneer S, on the other hand, is a luxury performance SUV offering around 600 horsepower and over 300 miles of range, positioning Jeep within the premium EV segment.

Jeep's upcoming EVs are built on Stellantis' dedicated STLA Large and STLA Medium platforms, supporting high voltage battery systems, dual motor configurations, and advanced over the air software. The brand is also developing vehicle to grid (V2G) and overlanding specific digital features through the Jeep Adventure Intelligence ecosystem. Future plans include expanding EV production in North America and integrating Stellantis' next generation gigafactory batteries for enhanced durability and energy density.

Through its combination of heritage, technology, and electrified powertrains, Jeep is redefining its legacy for the electric era. With the Wrangler 4xe, Avenger, Recon, and Wagoneer S, the brand is building a globally diversified lineup that brings its trademark off road capability into the zero emission future while preserving the adventurous spirit that has defined Jeep for over eight decades.
