About the Pininfarina brand

Automobili Pininfarina is an Italian luxury electric vehicle manufacturer headquartered in Cambiano, Italy, and owned by the Mahindra & Mahindra Group of India. Established as an independent automaker in 2018, it builds on the storied legacy of Pininfarina SpA- the legendary Italian design house known for creating some of the most iconic Ferraris, Alfa Romeos, and Maseratis of the 20th century. Automobili Pininfarina represents the fusion of timeless Italian design, cutting-edge electrification, and handcrafted ultra-luxury engineering.

The company's first model, the Pininfarina Battista, debuted in 2019 as a fully electric hypercar and the most powerful road-legal Italian car ever produced. Powered by a 120 kWh T-shaped battery pack and four independent motors (one per wheel), the Battista delivers a combined output of 1,417 kW (1,900 hp) and 2,340 Nm of torque. This enables 0–100 km/h acceleration in under 2 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h, all while offering a range of up to 476 kilometers (WLTP). The powertrain is derived from Rimac's high-performance EV platform, developed in partnership with Rimac Automobili.

The Battista exemplifies Automobili Pininfarina's "Pure Design” philosophy- blending sculptural elegance, aerodynamic efficiency, and handcrafted materials into a seamless whole. Each car is assembled by hand at the company's atelier in Cambiano, with bespoke interior trims, carbon-fiber detailing, and more than 1,300 hours of individualized craftsmanship per vehicle. Only 150 units of the Battista are being built, ensuring exclusivity for collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.

Following the Battista, Pininfarina introduced the B95 in 2023- the world's first open-top electric hypercar- limited to just 10 units globally. The B95 shares the Battista's powertrain and carbon monocoque chassis but features a barchetta-style design and twin aerodynamic domes behind the seats. It combines pure electric performance with a tactile, analog driving experience, symbolizing the next chapter in the brand's electric artistry.

Automobili Pininfarina is also preparing a new generation of luxury electric SUVs and grand tourers. The upcoming PF SUV program, developed in collaboration with Mahindra's INGLO EV architecture, will extend the brand's electric design language to high-performance utility vehicles with advanced connectivity, autonomous capability, and long-range solid-state battery technology.

Unlike many traditional supercar manufacturers transitioning into electrification, Pininfarina was conceived as an all-electric brand from inception, combining the design DNA of its legendary parent studio with the innovation of Mahindra's global EV resources. Its mission is to redefine sustainable luxury through Italian craftsmanship, emotional performance, and zero-emission engineering.

Pure Electric Identity

Automobili Pininfarina is a pure-play electric automaker, developing all vehicles and technologies exclusively for zero-emission performance. With masterpieces like the Battista and B95- and an upcoming lineup of electric grand tourers and SUVs- the brand unites heritage, design excellence, and technological innovation to lead the new era of electric luxury motoring.
